Ordering repeat prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be requested by registering at https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/the-nhs-app/ for our online service and order your repeat medication. Please be aware that Acute medicines or medicines that are being monitored may not show up on the NHS App, and you’ll need to give us a telephone call to order them if not.

If you do not have access to a computer please either call after 10am on 02476 542 192 or drop the right hand side of the prescription into the letter box to the left of the Surgery’s main door.

Collections

Medication and Prescriptions can be collected 2 working days after ordering and after 11am

Prescriptions can be collected from the surgery. We also operate a delivery service to Ryton and the surrounding villages on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Please inform the receptionist or indicate on a note which collection point you wish to use.

Some items are only available on a private prescription for which there is an additional charge. The doctor or nurse will advise you where this applies.

Dispensary

Patients who live over a mile from a chemist are able, if they wish, to obtain their medication from the surgery. Alternatively, you may choose to have your prescription dispensed at any community pharmacy of your choice.
